Credit level: F5

Description

This course introduces writers, concepts and approaches fundamental to contemporary literary theory. Lectures will introduce and explain this material, and seminars will discuss and apply it to the study of literature. The course aims to introduce a range of critical approaches, to help the student distinguish between them, and to indicate their significance for the general study of literature as well as the particular analysis of the individual text.
